Chapter 4 – What the heck happened to my
best friends!
I was
grateful to have found a friend, in this alien planet. Daphne was a perfect
friend. She was loyal, funny and kind, but the fact stood that she could never
replace Aisha, Ania, Shreedha, Adwaita and Aruni. After this incident with Aisha,
I was too scared to approach the others. But Daphne gave me a push and I went
to talk to each of my friends separately. The first person I talked to was Shreedha.
Shreedha was a medium height ed girl with brown eyes and brown hair. Shreedha had a
bob cut and was the tomboy of the group. She played a lot of sports and was
once an avid reader. Her favorite sport was Cricket. Shreedha was in the bow and arrow camp. I approached
her and asked her “What is your name?” “Shreedha.” She said in a monotonous tone. I was shocked.
Shreedha had a great sense of humor, she was full of energy. But now she was
the most serious person in the world. I
missed the old Shreedha who was light hearted and full of energy. I cursed
those sous aliens who had destroyed the thing that made Shreedha Shreedha. After she told me her name she turned away. I moved to the hacker camp for I had seen Ania
there. Ania loved RomTube just like Aisha, they watched a channel called Rot Tv
and whenever they met, they went on and on about the shows on Brat Tv. Ania was
reading a story book, which surprised me because she wasn’t an avid reader like
me or Aisha. She read but preferred YouTube.
Now Ania was a bookworm who wasn’t adventurous at all and who was a computer
geek. I decided not to talk to her
because she was reading and if I disturbed her, she would become a demon. I am
a book worm myself so I know the feeling. Next
was Aruni, Aruni and Shreedha are cousins. Aruni had a little sister named Adwaita.
Adwaita is in 5 th grade now. Aruni was a Sudha Murty fan, like me but now it seemed
like she hated Sudha Murty. How did I know you ask? Well Aruni didn’t hide this
fact. She openly showed it through her suitcase which read ‘Sudha Murty hater’.
